Overview
KNET Group is a growing cross-listing platform specializing in the sneaker resale market. As distribution channels expand, sellers are looking for cost-effective ways to maximize profits in a market with tight margins and arbitrage sales.
Our goal is to build brand trust and encourage new seller enrollment by providing an accessible, user-friendly platform. We focus on seamless cross-listing, lower fees, and an intuitive web experience to help sellers reach more buyers while saving money.
Research
The second-hand clothing and footwear market has grown into a $197 billion industry, projected to nearly double to $365 billion by 2027. As competition increases, sellers seek to maximize sales and product turnover while minimizing fees.
KNET simplifies this process by providing a one-stop platform for sellers to cross-list their products, ensuring they find the best fee structures and final sale prices. By integrating with distribution channels and APIs, our system continuously scans multiple platforms, helping sellers identify optimal pricing strategies and maximize their profits.

Design Process
Based on stakeholder research, we developed a new payout page that aligns with KNET’s branding and familiar environment, ensuring a seamless experience for existing customers.
Key Design Requirements 📝
✔ Build brand trust and transparency through clear messaging and UI.
✔ Maintain design consistency by adhering to established standards.
✔ Empower sellers with the flexibility to manage their listings effectively.
✔ Optimize space utilization for better navigation and user experience.
Design Goals🏆
✅ Create an informative, engaging site that attracts users and encourages waitlist sign-ups.
✅ Merge accessibility and usability to help sellers efficiently manage their businesses.
✅ Enhance user experience to foster community and collaboration among sellers.

Ideation Process
Building on our design process, I explored ways to meet our requirements while achieving our design goals. I developed a new design system that integrated KNET’s branding, logos, and interactive UI elements, ensuring a cohesive and trustworthy user experience.
✔ Form-Styled Approach – Strengthened brand trust through structured, familiar UI patterns.
✔ Accessible Styling – Ensured a wider audience could easily navigate and use the platform.
✔ Simplified Language – Reduced complexity and enhanced clarity for seamless onboarding.
Our broader goal was to create a straightforward user flow, enabling sellers to focus on their products and sales without friction.
Site Design Features
As we redesigned the KNET website, our focus was on showcasing how users benefit from our platform. The KNET web app empowers sellers by providing essential tools to maximize sales potential while building brand trust and credibility.
Below are the five features we mentioned:
🔑 Key Features:
✔ Cross-Listing – Easily list products across major resale platforms such as eBay, StockX, and GOAT to maximize exposure and sales.
✔ End-to-End Fulfillment – Streamlined logistics that handle the entire sales process, ensuring efficiency from listing to delivery.
✔ Tax-Free Addresses – Sellers can utilize our warehouse's tax-free location, reducing costs and increasing profitability.
✔ Lower Fees – Benefit from reduced transaction fees, helping sellers retain more earnings compared to traditional platforms.
✔ Data Insights – Access real-time analytics to identify top-selling shoes, optimize inventory decisions, and enhance sales strategies.
📢 Call-to-Action Integration:
-
"How It Works" Sections & Testimonials – Target prospective users with clear explanations and social proof to build trust.
-
"Apply to Sell" Buttons – Strategically placed to encourage seller enrollment and increase platform adoption.

Wireframes + Medium-Fidelity Prototype
We developed a medium-fidelity design based on our established design requirements and the current working file. This prototype served as a critical validation step, allowing us to gather initial feedback from stakeholders and refine how information is presented, structured, and navigated.
By testing this design early, we identified the most effective ways to present information, ensuring a clear, intuitive experience for sellers using the KNET platform.

Evaluation
To enhance viewer engagement, we focused on design simplification, ensuring a cleaner, more intuitive user experience. By incorporating geometric rectangles, we improved visual clarity, and through hierarchy adjustments, we increased readability. Additionally, we revamped the color scheme and replaced radial graphs with bar charts to better illustrate daily improvements and performance metrics.
Key Design Adjustments Based on Feedback:
✔ Incorporate More KNET App Elements – Align the website experience more closely with the app for consistency.
✔ Increase Social Proof – Integrate more testimonials to build trust and credibility.
✔ Improve Seller Onboarding – Create a clear application flow and add strategic call-to-action buttons to attract new sellers.
✔ Reduce Scrolling Fatigue – Optimize layout to minimize scrolling distance, simplifying the user journey.
These refinements led to stronger engagement, better clarity, and a more seamless browsing experience for prospective KNET sellers.
Final Design
During my time at KNET Group, I designed the landing pages in collaboration with our marketing and development leads. With full creative autonomy, I focused on a user-centric approach to create a cleaner, more seamless browsing experience that enhances engagement and usability. My designs have been instrumental in increasing brand awareness, promoting the product, and attracting more sellers to the platform by improving the clarity of information and optimizing the user journey.
As KNET continues to scale, we actively refine the design to align with evolving brand strategies and customer acquisition efforts. Below is a recent landing page mock-up, showcasing our initial optimizations aimed at enhancing seller conversion and engagement.

Reflection
Points of Growth 🌱
Working with the team at KNET provided me with the opportunity to take full ownership of a public-facing product, specifically the landing page. This role was particularly vital as many small businesses and sole entrepreneurs seek ways to cut costs and maintain profitability. KNET is experiencing significant growth, and I joined at a pivotal moment when UI/UX is beginning to play a larger role in e-commerce. During my time here, I learned to act as a stand-in project manager, and owning a product was an invaluable experience. Offering my design consulting services was crucial in helping KNET pivot toward online growth.
Challenges 💪
A key challenge we faced was adapting KNET's brand messaging to resonate with the North American market. Designing for a global audience proved tricky, especially when transitioning branding rooted in Hong Kong and Japan to fit the United States. We had to modify phrasing and design elements, incorporating different graphics and language that are less common in Asia-Pacific markets. However, by collaborating closely with stakeholders and researching domestic sellers, we successfully created an experience that aligns more closely with our target audience.
For Next Time 🤔
If given the opportunity to approach things differently, we would have focused on fine-tuning various interactions within the website. Examining different design elements, such as the value provided to users, would have been highly beneficial. We recognize that building trust and establishing a strong brand is crucial for small sellers who rely on our product to enhance their business distribution. In future projects, having more time to complete deliverables and presenting our research findings to the development team would significantly improve our project scope. Additionally, advocating for user research would be a valuable focus for our team moving forward.
